After that, check whether a 2014-up car has Valvematic: a 2ZR-FAE carries the extra variable-lift mechanism on the intake side and its head, harness and ECU calibration are not shared with a plain 2ZR-FE. If the car is an XRS, treat it as a different model entirely — neither the 2ZZ-GE nor the XRS 2AZ-FE will interchange with the base engine.
